Ruth Taylor (Dip ION, BSc, RGN mBANT, rCNHC, mIFM) is one of the Directors of the Centre for Practitioner Development. She part-leads the Supervisor and Mentor Team here with her co-director Emma Stiles.
After working for thirty years a nurse, Ruth re-trained and qualified in 2009 as a nutritional therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION). She has extensive clinical experience due to these vocations. She now works on the academic team at ION alongside her work as a nutritional therapist in various clinics in Hampshire and online. She has also recently qualified as a Health Coach with the Institute of Health Sciences.
Ruth became a British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) accredited supervisor in 2014. Her passion for supporting her supervisees’ development there and watching their confidence grow is what motivated her to co-create the Centre for Practitioner Development.
‘I am excited to have created and to offer this new membership support programmes to all Nutritional Therapists, Emma and I have worked to create memberships that we believe will provide you with the support you need in your professional roles.’
